PENN STATE SHENANGO VISIONING
In collaboration with the Community Foundation of Western PA & Eastern OH, the Shenango LaunchBox and the associated LaunchBox Network are facilitating a convening of stakeholders focused on the evolution of the Penn State Shenango campus.
Since the transition team at PSU has indicated that workforce development would be viewed as a positive regarding the future usage of the campus, the Community Foundation is applying for an ARC ARISE grant in early December for this purpose as well as related economic development factors.
As such, the following have been identified as FOCUS AREAS for the grant application:
-
Workforce pipelines, credentialing, and alignment with employer needs

-
Cross-cutting collaboration and shared vision for implementation

-
Employer attraction, entrepreneurship, and workspace readiness

-
Workforce housing and residential development supporting regional labor retention
